We have departed Cartagena and are crossing the Caribbean Sea on our longest passage to date. While our weather window is mostly benign, it takes a gnarly turn on our final day. So we have a difficult decision to make that could be dangerous if we get wrong: follow our own instincts and head for Puerto Rico? Or follow the strongly worded advice of our weather router, and change course to the Dominican Republic?
