A Brief History of Alien Games!
First appearing in Ridley Scott's 1979 film, the "alien" has been one of science fiction's most iconic creatures. Deadly, cunning and generally all round frightening as heck - it's a mainstay of pop culture - and this translates to video game appearances as well. Occasionally referred to as the Xenomorph, it has appeared in nearly 50 games since 1982's Atari 2600 game.
In this video, we take a look at many of the video game appearances of the xenomorph! Spanning multiple platforms, generations, and genres (and, of course, varying degrees of quality), this video presents a brief history of the Alien in video games!
NOTE: the xenomorph's appearances are also often intertwined with the appearance of another sci-fi movie legend - the Predator. Accordingly, in this video, you will see many appearances of the Predator as well. The focus, however, will remain on the Xenomorph.
