When exporting a flat pattern to a 2D file format like DXF or DWG, it may be necessary to assign different entity types to layers to make it possible for manufacturing to build the parts correctly. With correctly assigned layers, the CAM software and the cutting machine will interpret the information correctly. Consult your manufacturer or send them an example export to review and get feedback on what, if anything, these layer mappings should be for maximum compatibility.
