Yamaha SU700 chromatic sample playback
Here's a neat trick I came up for SU700.
Normally SU700 doesn't respond to midi pitch input, only plays the sample at the pitch you have set. But if you send in midi note + convert pitch as a CC information at the same time, you can play melodies with SU700.
In the video you see me setting Midi Input channel for the sample and then choosing Midi CC 5 for pitch and CC 74 for Cut-off.
Outside the video I set midiNotesToCC* to convert midi notes to CC 5 for pitch and CC 74 for cut-off.
If you look at SU700 screen you can see the pitch & cut-off values jumping as the bassline plays.
