Compression Ignition Demonstration (in a transparent cylinder)
Demonstration of compression ignition in a transparent cylinder. Rapid compression of the air raises the air temperature to about 600 C, well above the flash point of the paper. This is the same process as happens in a diesel engine. This demo is done with a commercial unit made by PASCO.
