In Mexico, there are 35,995 self-declared spiritualists.
Spiritualism, also called Spiritist doctrine or the doctrine of spirits, has more than 100 temples that follow this tradition, where so-called "teachings" and healings are performed.
The "teaching" is the unification of the medium's spirit in meditation with the divine. The medium enters a state of ecstasy to synthesize the light in their mind, transforming it into words to deliver the message to the congregation.
Within the congregation, the spiritualist medium has developed this faculty through many years of perseverance, discipline, preparation, dedication, faith, and sincerity with the spiritual world and their commitment to the faithful.
