A whopping 135.9 crore Indians possess an Aadhaar card. But is it possible for them to perform bank transactions such as withdrawing cash or transferring money to other bank accounts without physically visiting the bank? Is it possible for an uneducated person to withdraw money without ATM PIN? Yes, it is! By leveraging the AePS and Eko APIs, individuals can carry out these transactions using their Aadhaar.
To help developers build such a system, this Eko developer community meetup featured a session that covers the process. This one-hour-long webinar showcases the use cases of this system, provides a demo, and shares code samples. With this new system in place, customers only need to verify their identity using their fingerprints to withdraw cash or transfer funds to other Aadhaar cardholders.
