Setting Up Windows
Prepare Installation Media:

USB Drive: Download the Windows installation media from the official Microsoft website and create a bootable USB drive using tools like Rufus or the Windows Media Creation Tool.
Boot from Installation Media:

Insert the USB drive into the computer.
Restart the computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, F12, DEL, or ESC during startup).
Set the USB drive as the primary boot device.
Save and exit the BIOS/UEFI settings.
Install Windows:

When the computer boots from the USB drive, you’ll see the Windows Setup screen.
Select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, then click Next.
Click Install Now.
Enter your product key (if required) or select I don't have a product key to proceed with a trial or digital license.
Choose the Windows edition you want to install and click Next.
Accept the license terms and click Next.
Select Installation Type:

Choose Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) to perform a clean installation.
Partitioning:

If you are formatting the hard drive, you’ll need to delete existing partitions.
Select the partition where you want to install Windows and click Delete. Confirm any prompts to remove existing partitions.
Click New to create a new partition, then click Apply. Windows will create additional required partitions automatically.
Select the primary partition (usually the largest one) and click Next.
Complete Installation:

Windows will start copying files and installing. This process might take some time and the computer will restart multiple times.
Follow the on-screen prompts to configure Windows settings, such as region, keyboard layout, and network settings.
Formatting a Hard Disk
Before Formatting:

Backup Data: Ensure you’ve backed up any important data because formatting will erase all files on the drive.
Open Disk Management:

Press Win + X and select Disk Management.
Select the Disk to Format:

Right-click the partition you want to format (make sure it's not the one where Windows is installed) and select Format.
Format the Disk:

In the Format dialog box, choose a file system (NTFS is commonly used for Windows), assign a volume label (name), and select Quick Format if you want a faster process (this doesn’t check for bad sectors).
Click OK to start formatting.
Confirm and Wait:

Confirm any warnings about data loss.
Wait for the formatting process to complete.
Alternative: Formatting During Windows Installation

During the Windows installation process, as described above, you can format the drive by deleting existing partitions and creating new ones.
Important Tips:
Driver and Software Installation: After installing Windows, remember to install necessary drivers for your hardware and any essential software.
Windows Updates: Run Windows Update to ensure your system is up-to-date with the latest patches and security fixes
