THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL. This is just a screen record of live (real time) modeling on a project I'm working on. I was adding some 3D siding to the building and did a screen record of the process. I figured some may benefit from my work flow. This is the quickest and easiest way I've found to do 3D siding.
I'm using Profile Builder to store the siding profile, but it is not necessary. You can just draw out the profile anyway you'd like and then position copies of it around your building. Just make sure it's tall enough for the highest peak. I'm then using the Solid Tools Intersect to cut out the siding to the shape of the wall with the window openings all at once.
Hopefully this is helpful. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them as I can. If the demand is there I can do another video with audio commentary.
