This Harp Meditation is in the Lydian Mode. I am looking out over the garden as the sun sinks to the right behind the shed. The birds are giving one last big cheer for the day and then retire until it's dawn chorus time again. I'm a little restless and so is the sound, moving, moving, step wise, certain, steady, the light is fading fast. The world is in turmoil, the bottom f is not staying in tune, there's no balance. I am searching and not finding. A fine reflection of the day that's in it.
I am grateful for what is. The time I have. I can feel the day fall away and the night approach while I remain. The garden, the sound, my home, the animals, my neighbors, my friends close and far my life. I am here, I breathe, I am. The world is turning, the sun is shining somewhere else for a while and has already begun on the return journey to me, to us, to all. On it goes and on it goes.
Tomorrow will be another day.
Blessings and love to you and yours from us here in from West Cork!.

Harp meditation is part of The Flauting Harper practice. Daily improvisations, sound reflections distilled from the activities, feelings thoughts and experiences of that space, that time, that company.
To give the creative spirit a platform to express, the ears to lead, the fingers to try, the mind to rest. To be in sound and silence, in the moment.
