Two 'Intermodal' freight trains pass at Oxford on 28th May 2012.

4O23, 11:13 Hams Hall-Southampton, passes through Oxford at speed heading south as 4M66, 0947 Southampton to Birch Coppice, comes the other way running on cautionary signals.

A location set to change dramatically in the coming years, with electrification and also Chiltern Railway's new service from Oxford to Marylebone operating on a reinstated line to the left of the carriage sidings.
