The film is loosely based on the true story of a lesbian couple who was accidentally given the wrong donor's sperm and provided with a black child. It is re-told here in Telenovela style.
The film won five awards at the IFP Mystery Box Challenge including best use of line, best music, best story, 2nd place, and audience favorite.
It was created by Travio Molinos (Travis Mills), Santiago Alirez (James Alire) and Genoveva Nesbito (Jennifer Nesbit). The film also features actors Jennifer Nesbit, Brenda Jean Foley and Mike Traylor.
