This is a basic but little-known trick: how to add DIAGONAL LINES in Excel.

When we have a double-entry table, we might want a diagonal line to appear in the upper left corner, the corner that separates the rows from the columns.

Although many people know that you can modify the appearance of cell borders in Home – Fonts – Borders, it's less well-known that you can also add diagonal lines from that same window.

✏️ Clicking on the diagonal line with the desired angle will add it to the selected cell.
