IGHODARO OR NEW SIGNING? Farouk Khan Says Chiefs Need a Big Number 9!
FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS COACH FAROUK KHAN SAYS AMAKHOSI NEED A BIG STRIKER! DO YOU AGREE? ✌️🟡⚽ 🇿🇦
Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant and youth development coach Farouk Khan has sparked a massive debate across Mzansi by stating that Amakhosi desperately need a physical, "big guy" striker up front to complete their attacking machinery.
While Fernando Da Cruz's side has enjoyed an unbeaten start to the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season—including a thrilling 3-2 victory over Siwelele FC—questions remain about whether Chiefs possess a genuine tactical "Plan B" when facing low-block defenses. Does Etiosa Ighodaro hold the key to this role, or do Amakhosi need to enter the transfer market for a lethal target man to complement Wandile Duba and Mfundo Vilakazi?
In this deep-dive tactical debate on iDiski Lethu TV, we break down:
1. Farouk Khan's Argument: Why the former Chiefs coach believes a physical profile is missing.
2. The Anatomy of a Target Man: How a physical Number 9 creates space for Vilakazi, Shabalala, and Duba.
3. Current Form & Options: Analyzing Kaizer Chiefs' unbeaten start to the Betway Premiership season.
4. The Internal Solution: Can Etiosa Ighodaro be the answer at Naturena?
5. The Verdict: Does Chiefs need to sign a new striker or trust the existing squad depth?
👇 WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! 👇
Amakhosi fans, do you agree with Farouk Khan? Comment "BIG NUMBER 9" if you think Chiefs must sign a physical target man, or "TRUST THE SQUAD" if you believe Ighodaro and Duba have it covered! 💬
