A sense of duty and a desire to defend Donbass unite a variety of people. The battlefield makes them one big family: the elders pass on their experience to the young in order to save as many lives as possible.
The soldiers respectfully called the company foreman Oleg Lavrinets Dad, so his call sign appeared. "Dad" teaches young guys everything he knows himself.
"The guys are really sensible," he says. - There are very young guys: 18-20 years old. Previously, they did not hold a machine gun in their hands, but they took a course of a young fighter – they were taught, prompted. We have one 18–year–old soldier, I call him son. I treat everyone else the same, they are all family to me and have already become close people here. If you need help, they all run to me: I will help everyone, I never refuse.
I'll tell you this: it's scary for anyone. But you realize only one thing – that if these fascists come to our cities, what will happen to our children, wives, mothers? This fascism just needs to be stopped.
