The last of the round games before the finals brought hosts Japan up against Ireland. Ireland has only lost one game by a single goal so far and is looking to secure a place in the World Cup final. The mens Masters World Cup finally gets underway in Tokyo 2022. Since Covid struck, it has postponed the event for the last 2 years. Now teams from around the world compete at the Olympic Oi Stadium in Tokyo. With 28 teams competing, it is a reduced event compared to the intended 83 teams but the show was magnificent. Well done Tokyo and well done masters hockey.
