Midi Music Theory 5 - Note Values
Note values.... this is another one that standard notation really comes in handy for and is simple to understand until you get too notes that are things like "a dotted half note". These may seem like weird unintuitive names, and they are from the piano roll view. These names come from standard notation and future use of these kinds of names will be common, so life will be easier if you learn standard notation as well, but you do not have too to move on.
