Hi everyone, welcome to Steele Tech Computer, where we bring old tech back to life! In this video, we're going to show you how we restored this NES controller that was very yellow and dirty when we got it. You won't believe how it looks now!
We used a special technique called retrobrighting, which involves applying hydroperoxide cream to the plastic and exposing it to heat and UV light from the sun. This removes the yellowing caused by oxidation and makes the controller look like new. We also cleaned and reinstalled all the components and applied a UV protection product to prevent yellowing from happening again.
