New World is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Amazon Game Studios Orange County and scheduled for publication by Amazon Games on August 31, 2021.
Originally scheduled for release in mid-May 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the game's release has been postponed to August 31, 2021. Set in the mid-1600s, players will colonize a fictional country in the Atlantic Ocean modeled after America. The game will use a buy-and-play business model, requiring no mandatory monthly subscription fee.
