Forgotten MikroTik Password? Here’s the Easiest Fix
Are you locked out of your MikroTik router? Whether you've forgotten your admin password, have no DHCP server running, or don't know the router's IP address, this tutorial will show you how to regain access.
In this video, I demonstrate two effective ways to factory reset a MikroTik RouterBOARD RB951G-2HnD:
Method 1:
Soft Reset – Using the dedicated RES button on the back of the device.
Method 2:
Hard Reset – A deep-level reset by shorting the contact points inside the router using a screwdriver (perfect for when the soft reset doesn't work).
I’ll walk you through the entire process, including how to safely remove the cover and identify the correct reset points to clear all previous settings and restore factory defaults.
Important: Performing a reset will erase all current configurations. Make sure you are ready to set up your router from scratch after the process.
