Jamie Noon is riding the HIRO Sportive Series for Ayla Collins
Jerry Collins was highly respected and much-loved throughout the global rugby community. The former All Black died tragically on June 5th 2015, after his car was involved in a collision near the town of Beziers in southern France.
Jerry’s wife, Allana, was also killed in the accident, believed to have been caused by a technical failure in the couple’s vehicle. Also in the car, their three-month old daughter, Ayla, survived the accident and was airlifted to hospital in Montpellier to undergo life-saving surgery.
Jerry’s prowess as a rugby player and generous spirit as an individual made him a hugely popular member of the rugby community. Born in 1980 into humble beginnings in Apia, Samoa, he rose to become one of the most competitive All Black forwards of his generation.
The inaugural HIRO Sportive Series is proud to be raising money for Ayla Collin’s future.
