Meet Our Chessie, The Chesapeake Bay Sea Monster!
When we first conceived the concept of Chesapeake Wanderlust, we started out to create something special. We wanted to create a sense of community centered around the Chesapeake Bay. We have been brainstorming ideas for something that the entire Bay community can relate to and come together around. Then it hit us when we were least expecting it. Chessie!
The Chesapeake Bay has had Chessie for at least a century, and we've never embraced the creature as our own. In this video, we introduce you to our first version of the Chessie we think belongs to the Chesapeake Bay. This one has features of both a sea monster and the Atlantic Sturgeon, an ancient looking fish that spawns in the Chesapeake Bay.
