School districts are facing many unique challenges this year. While devices and access are still top-of-mind for many districts, cyber attacks such as ransomware, phishing, and account takeovers threaten student, staff, and district business data.

Cybersecurity is often overlooked in K-12, particularly now with the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19. There are still worrisome cybersecurity skills and funding gaps in K-12 that most tech leaders need to overcome to protect their districts.

In 2018, the state of New Hampshire passed state law RSA 189:66 which, among other things, required school districts to comply with a subset of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework standard. Neal Richardson, Director of Technology at Hillsboro-Deering School District, was placed at the forefront of implementing the state’s new compliance standards for his district.

During this webinar recording, you will learn how Neal and his team implemented the NIST Cybersecurity Framework at Hillsboro-Deering School District to comply with the new state regulations by keeping his district’s data secure and his students safe.
