Grant and Sofia, a young married couple from Los Angeles, are eager to start a family, but their plans are put on hold when Sofia, an out-of-work engineer, lands her dream job in Romania and convinces Grant to move with her. A year later, the roles have reversed: Grant, a rising novelist, struggles with writer’s block and longs for home, while Sofia thrives in her career, growing confident yet overwhelmed by the demands of work and domestic life. When a sudden family crisis forces them apart, the distance—both physical and emotional—pushes them to confront their choices and face a decision that could change the course of their lives forever.
