Mixing Drums w/Minimal Mics | Parallel Expansion
Quick drum mixing tip!! Expanders can be a great way to add punch to your drums. Using parallel expansion allows you to retain your overall tone and transient punch without the side effects of compression. When used with Parallel Compression it can be awesome!
For this tutorial I'm going to use stock Logic Pro X plugins only. I want this to be about the concept and not the gear. Once you understand the concept use the gear you have. Analog or Digital. Go to town and have fun!
