So this video keeps on getting traction and views as of 10-8-2024. Which is great, but this video is outdated. We've had multiple releases since then, we started to make this project more of our own mod (keeping the week 1 songs, just making them different so we don't get in trouble from the other original devs.) Along with adding a whole other week, bunch of free play songs, and an CutThroat remix (Erect) for all of it. Were working hard for this to be the best it can be, expect V1 sometime next year most likely, download and play the mod over on GameBanana, join the discord server for teasers and updates on the project, and bring some life into it (cuz community wise it's kinda dead) we're considering a rebranding right now so it won't always be known as Slashin. Thank you very much for all the love in the comments but I had to make an update, since none of the new stuff is being picked up.

Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source rhythm game released on Newgrounds in 2020. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., which consists of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution, PaRappa the Rapper, and the "Dance Contest" minigame from Club Penguin, and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s. The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of opponents in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay involves hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song. The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on October 5, 2020. An expanded demo was released on November 1, 2020, with updates continually released in the following months. A full version of the game backed by Kickstarter, titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game, is in development.
Jeff the Killer is a story accompanied by an image of the title character. In the most notable version of the Jeff the Killer story which originated in 2011, a teenager named Jeffrey Woods is attacked by a group of bullies. The fight ends with Jeff being nearly arrested for assault, which his brother Liu takes the blame for, getting taken away to juvenile hall. This resulted in Jeff becoming depressed and introverted. His concerned parents force him to go to a party, where he gets approached by the same bullies he got in a fight with before. While he manages to kill the bullies, he is doused with alcohol during the fight and is set on fire, suffering severe burns over most of his body. After being discharged from the hospital and having his bandages removed, Jeff begins to go insane when he sees the burns he suffered. He carves his own face to leave a smile-shaped scar, removes his eyelids, and kills his family. He becomes a serial killer. He kills by sneaking into houses at night and whispering "Go To Sleep" to his victims before killing them.
