In this video, we repair a Lenovo Legion 5 17ACH6H that would not boot and showed no image.
This time, the very first symptom appeared during diagnostics: the SPD reader connected to the RAM slot could not read SPD data and returned an error.

The oscillator responsible for generating the 48 MHz clock signal had a broken contact beneath the CPU — the result of solder joint degradation caused by the black compound used under the processor.

The final solution was a full CPU reballing, which restored all connections, brought the crystal oscillator back online, and allowed the system to boot normally again.

🔧 Another example of how degraded solder joints under Lenovo Legion CPUs — caused by the black compound — can lead to complete boot failure, SPD errors, and black screen issues.
