THIS IS THE PROCESS OF MAKING FAMOUS POTATO CHIPS IN A MODERN FACTORY
Hello Production Engineering friends,
Potato chips are a popular snack worldwide. They were first created in the United States in the 19th century. But did you know that the potato chips that are now so popular were actually created accidentally by a chef named George Crum. Initially, thinly sliced, crispy potato chips were created in response to a customer's complaint that the fries served at his restaurant were too thick. In response, George Crum sliced the potatoes very thinly, fried them until crispy, and served them. Unexpectedly, this dish was widely loved and became a hit.
Soon after, potato chips became a very popular snack in the United States and spread throughout the world. Today, potato chips are one of the most popular snacks in the world, with many brands and varieties available on the market.
The popularity of potato chips has not only created a profitable business for snack manufacturers, but also plays a significant economic role in several major potato-producing countries, including the United States, China, India, and Russia, the world's largest potato producers.
In this video, Production Engineering will take you through the potato chip manufacturing process in a modern factory.
