Parallel and concurrent programming in Haskell - Simon Marlow at USI
Our computers are getting wider, not faster. Nowadays, to make our programs more efficient, we have to make them use more processors.
Haskell is at the leading edge of research into parallel programming languages, and I'd like to use this talk to explore some of the ways in which we're making it easier to program parallel computers.
