I’m logged into Microsoft and in my Outlook inbox.
As well as the default Outlook inbox style you see here
Outlook also offers a dark mode that is much less tiring on the eyes
And can make reading emails at night much more comfortable,
Dark mode also has the added benefit that it can save battery life on your device.
To make that change, we need to go into the Settings section of outlook
I can do this by moving my mouse to the top right of my inbox
And you’ll see there are a number of icons in this area
We’re interested in the cog or gear icon so lets click on that.
This opens up the quick settings section of outlook
That allows you to make some of the more common settings changes
If I move down the panel
You’ll see there is a section called Dark Mode.
We can quickly turn this on by clicking on the toggle button in this section
And You’ll see that dark mode in the inbox is switched on straight away.
If you want to tailor Outlook even further
You can also click through the available themes shown above that section
This will change the base colours used in Outlook
And don’t forget you can see even more themes by clicking on the ‘View all’ link shown the themes section
