Interview -- Penny Nichols, songwriting camps
Penny Nichols, founder of SummerSongs songwriting camps in New York and California, describes how she started the camps, their purpose, her hopes for participants, and stories about how the camps have affected lives. Recorded at SummerSongs West, Camp Ocean Pines, Cambria, CA, on June 12, 2010. Penelope Salinger conducted and filmed the interview. Music is from the CD "Motif" by Pat Milliken, who was a regular member of the SummerSongs teaching staff. He died unexpectedly in April, 2010, and this subsequent camp was dedicated to him.
