PART 1 : The 50kg Meteorite Mystery: Ancient UFO Disk Found in China
One thing that really stands out in China is that around every corner you come across something that just takes your breath away and this was one of those moments.
We were in a slightly run-down mall and tucked away in the corner was this antique shop full of interesting pieces, but this one immediately caught my eye. It’s roughly 50cm wide and about 25cm thick, seriously heavy and carved from an incredibly hard material. The shop owner said it’s not just stone and believes it’s carved from a meteorite, depicting some kind of ancient UFO encounter. It does share a resemblance to the Ojuelos stones in Mexico, but the size and material of this piece are on another level. I’ve searched online and haven’t seen anything quite like it.
So now I’m wondering… is this just a modern creation or something far more interesting? There are theories around the Hongshan culture and carvings linked to “star people”, but who knows.
