The Celestron Advanced VX Mount, also known as AVX, is a mid-level telescope mount that offers many advanced features at an affordable price.
Equipped with Celestron's sophisticated technologies, such as All-Star Polar Alignment, Celestron PWI telescope control software, SkyAlign, and permanently programmable periodic error correction, the AVX provides superior performance for smaller telescopes.
The AVX is the most compact and portable of Celestron's German equatorial mounts, yet it maintains the same rigidity as larger mounts, minimizing flexure.
This mount can hold a maximum instrument capacity of 30 pounds and includes features every astroimager wants, including periodic error correction, an autoguider port, and the ability to image across the meridian.
The AVX also includes a new dual saddle plate compatible with both the narrow dovetail and larger CGE dovetail, and an impressive tripod with two-inch diameter steel legs for improved stability.
