huge, continuous shoutout to voltgloss for making this whole run at the game go smoothly. your notes have been life savers multiple times. you could argue that I basically played the game in the optimal way: roughly one hour sessions where I would then stop and have time to ponder the info I got, and a big repository of all the info I got that I could review easily. So thank you again, friend!
overall I get the impression that the average take is that lm1 is seen as superior to 2, but I've really loved going through this thing. The sprite-art is beautiful, the music engaging, and I love how they basically took the general premise of 1 and just, like, tried to push it way further. It's not perfect, a lot of the bosses are kind of on the not good side, which is unfortunate for such a boss-dependent game.
But overall I enjoyed myself quite a bit. I love how they incorporate different cultures and their myths together in one big giant bucket. Things like the seven gates of hell for example are really inspired.
Anyways, this is it. I think my final thoughts should go on the final, even if it's not the last video of a series
