The Command & Conquer franchise, a real-time strategy (RTS) genre pioneer, once stood as a juggernaut. However, its fate was to be betrayed by Electronic Arts (EA). This video delves into the development journey of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight-a game that started in a skunkworks team originally intended as a free-to-play, fast-paced platform. But it ended up shoehorned into the mainline series as a full-priced game. Unfortunately, this move left the entire multi-game saga as a mere shadow of its former self.
