This documentary recounts the historic Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 missions, focusing on the collection and analysis of lunar samples. Upon their return to Earth, these extraterrestrial materials were meticulously examined for pathological hazards, categorized into four main types (soil, fine-grained volcanic rocks, coarser-grained volcanic rocks, and breccias), and subjected to extensive physical and chemical analysis. Preliminary findings revealed similarities in rock composition but unusual proportions, the presence of mobile gases from the solar wind, evidence of shock, lava flows, impacts, and high magnetism in breccias. Crucially, the volcanic rocks were dated to at least 3 billion years old, providing insights into the early history of the Moon and the solar system, and suggesting a potentially different evolutionary path compared to Earth.
