We Had to Leave Kuala Lumpur to Try This Dish
We had to leave Kuala Lumpur city to try this dish... a local man invited us to his town called Klang, the former capital of the state of Selangor in Malaysia, just an hour outside of Kuala Lumpur to try the famous dish that originated here called Bah Kut Teh, meaning 'pork ribs tea' which is a type of stew served wet or dry. This dish was introduced to Malaysia by Chinese immigrants who worked in the dock yards in around the 1930's, but now it is becoming a popular dish in Malaysia. Still, the best place to try Bah Kut Teh is in it's hometown, Klang.
