The first session of the 14th National People's Congress held its fourth plenary session on the morning of the 11th. The meeting decided to approve the candidate for Premier of the State Council nominated by President Xi Jinping. Xi Jinping signed a presidential decree, appointing Li Qiang as Premier of the State Council, and Li Qiang took the oath of office. The meeting also voted to determine the candidates for the vice chairman and members of the Central Military Commission, and elected the director of the State Supervisory Commission, the head of the Supreme Court, and the chief prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
