Uncommon Fruit Trees: Varietal Research at Bois de Rode Bos

In this video, I had the pleasure of exploring the Bois de Rode Bos alongside Pierre, a passionate visionary dedicated to varietal research and the promotion of exceptional fruit trees.
It was in the heart of his test plot that Pierre introduced us to fascinating trees and shrubs such as nashi pear, persimmon, mulberry, pawpaw, and Japanese goumi. These remarkable, often overlooked species offer exciting possibilities for forest gardening and agroecology. Resilient and bountiful, these fruit trees bring not only exceptional diversity but also unique flavors to our orchards.
