Turning a Broken Drill Press into a MILLING MACHINE
What started as a broken central drill press turned into a fully functional Bridgeport-style manual milling machine. In this project, I take equipment that no longer worked and completely repurpose it into something useful again — capable of milling aluminum and other materials with precision.
The conversion includes adapting the machine to run milling bits, sleeved inserts, and upgraded tooling to handle light machining operations while keeping the build simple, affordable, and practical.
