LYRICS:
[V1]
I was walking through the forest one day
Then I heard a sound that made me say
Good golly what's going on
It sounds like it is coming from this way
[V1b]
UPON MY ARRIVAL
What's happening here?
A squid is choking oh my dear,
but how is it here in the forest?
No water for miles, that just seems abhorrent
[V2]
So what are we going to do
There's a life to save, I know it's hard to chew
But one day it will be yours
and you hope that the same is done for you
[V1b]
[B]
But all the people who are here
They don't really seem to care
They just gathered round the squid to do the L DANCE
Yeah it really seems quite weird
With the squid choking right there
We should hurry quick cuz we're this squiddy's LAST CHANCE
[V3]
I raise my voice so loud they hear
but they continue to dance on with a sneer
and it is clear they've no regard
for the life of the squid that's choking here
[V3b]
I see in its' eyes it's scared to death
It writhes in pain struggling for breath
We gotta get it out of the forest
No water for miles, it's a long road for us
[B]
[CHORUS]
Yeah hope he don't die for this
I hope we make it soon, god forbid
We gotta get it to the ocean
Get in motion,
Gotta save this choking squid
Lug it over my shoulder
and we'll do what we can so it will live
We gotta get it to the ocean
Get in motion,
Gotta save this choking squid
[V4]
We crest the hill and see the blue
The squid seems calm with it in view
We place it down in the water
but we weren't careful if we only knew
[V4b]
A dolphin charges that poor squid
It starts to get its' munching in
It didn't take long to get eaten
the dolphins' meal had been completed
[B, CHORUS]
