Payday 3 is dead on arrival
After finding out Payday 2 is getting CONSISTENTLY many more active players players than Payday 3, I decided I had to make a follow up to my other Payday 3 videos. The game is currently a buggy mess and lacks any substantial content, and a lot of people including myself also take issue with the challenge based XP system. Playing Payday 2 after Payday 3 feels like a breath of fresh air, and that is a problem for Starbreeze and Overkill. If you didn't notice as well, about half way through my video I ended up cutting away to MW2 gameplay because the truck in the Payday 3 mission I was playing literally got stuck and so the mission was actually unable to be progressed or completed for us, keep in mind I haven't played this game for what feels like ages and just hopped on to get this footage for this video, and THIS happens. The game is a buggy mess and needed more time before being released IMO, yes, the game does a lot better than Payday 2, but the bar was so low on some of this stuff, Star Breeze and Over kill really needed to come out of the gate swinging HARD, and they did swing pretty hard, but they missed. Hoping they can turn this around and eventually give us the content and updates we deserve, but I can't help but feel like a fool for paying full sticker price for this game on PS5. Definitely a huge let down, especially if this stuff doesn't get fixed. Keep in mind on Xbox and PC you can play Payday 3 for free if you're a Xbox Game Pass subscriber, so if you're considering playing the game at all I'd definitely do it that way if possible. The game is definitely NOT worth the full sticker price right now. It's a disaster. The fact that Payday 3 currently has less active players than Payday 2 is sad.
