DESTINY 2 - The Journey - Descent - Path Uncovered Location
Here's is the location of "The Journey - Descent" quest step "Path Uncovered". To get to it, you must complete the first encounter of the "Pit of Heresy" as the item is found after that encounter has completed. Note that to access the Pit you must complete Eris' "The Deepening Wake" Quest.
This is part of a multi-stage quest to get the Xenophage Exotic machine gun. Prior steps are shown below:

4. Complete Eris' "The Deepening Wake" quest. This unlocks the "Pit of Heresy". This one doesn't need a guide, you'll work it out just fine without one. All you have to do is pick up the quest from Eris, defeat the "Nightmare of Phogoth, the Untamed" in the Altars of Sorrow public event in Sorrow's Harbor on the Moon and open the chest he drops.
