Rains across the country (1978)
The collective farm chairman appoints Maria, a young female tractor driver, as team leader. She works harder than the other male members of the team. A perfectionist by nature, Maria lives and works with complete dedication, demanding the same from her teammates. She is also uncompromising in love. Upon learning that Tolik, whom she loves and with whom she is expecting a child, is cheating on her, Maria decisively breaks off all relations with him. The collective farmers don't always support their principled team leader, and one day, upset by her colleagues, the young woman decides to move to the city, but is unable to carry out her plan: her attachment to her hometown is too strong...
