3D visualization of neural networks in Blender:    • Visualize 3D Networks in Blender: Neural N...

This Blender tutorial for beginners shows how to create a 3D visualization of a supermassive black hole using Blender. After repeating the tutorial, you will be able to generate a futuristic version of this astronomical object and get an idea of it from your own perspective. Blender 2.92 was used for the demonstration, but you can use an earlier version if you wish.

During the course, you will learn how to create swirled surfaces and relief textures, work with the glow effect and correctly set up a scene for rendering, including saving a file with the required parameters. You will also improve your skill in working with the depth of field effect in 3D space and learn how to adjust the focus of a virtual lens.

Visualization of a Supermassive Black Hole in Blender 3D

Perhaps the greatest scientific achievement of this year in the field of astronomy is the image of a supermassive black hole in the galaxy M87, obtained in polarized light by a group of scientists from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) project. This is not exactly a photograph, since the image was created by processing a large amount of information, but at the same time, it conveys a real picture of what is happening.

It took several years to process the data necessary for its creation. The object that was able to be seen in this way is a blurry glowing ring with a dark spot (the shadow of the black hole) in the center and an absolutely sharp fragment consisting of curved lines displaying the directions of magnetic forces near the Schwarzschild radius. The image is the first visual evidence that a magnetic field exists at relatively small distances from the event horizon of a Black Hole (source https://www.eso.org/public/russia/new...)
