The end of these books always made my heartache. Enough said there I think!
I absolutely adore this cover of the song, and as I've edited Coldplay's version before I really wanted to use something different. I knew all along thought it was a perfect song choice, but I remembered this cover and I actually thought the African vibe fits really well into the botanic garden scenes with Atal etc and so I knew them I had to use this version.
It gave me a bit more to play around with as well, and although I've gone a little simplistic with the editing, I think it's fine as it fits with the mood and HDM has enough aesthetics in this episode alone to match, lets be honest!
I've also finally kinda properly edited Will&Lyra and Mary now! It was also on the list, I just really wanted all the episodes to do it properly so there will be more to come now! This edit mainly focuses on them too, as episode 8 didn't really have any other characters to feature! (Although I did get in a brief Iorek feature - he is my number one bear!)
Also, would anyone have worked out I started this after episode 5 when they finally gave us Mary & Atal scenes? Well, I did, and I nearly just made a vidlet of the scenes in that episode, and then I remembered what was still to come, so held fire. Now I'm glad I did!
I'm still sorry for the gap between edits! I'm still taking overtime because we're just so snowed under right now! I still have an edit in progress for eps 5&6 but I really want to do it justice so I'm not rushing it!
