Shoulder Alteration: How to Make a Cuff when it's Slanted? 🧐
Hello friends! In today's video, I have this beautiful casual summer denim dress whose shoulders have a cuff. However, I have to raise the shoulders because they're too squared and boxy. The problem with this alteration is that usually, the cuffs are made when the fabric completely perpendicular. In this case though, so that it looks good, the cuffs would have to be slanted. Many tailors don't know how to make a slanted cuff. We're going to explore how to do it in this video! I'm going to explain everything from the marking, to the pinning, to the folding, the ironing, the measuring, and the sewing, in order to make a slanted cuff hem! At the end of the video, you will see how different a dress with the proper shoulder angler, rather than straight, looks on the body!
