My Custom Bongo Bongo Boss Theme (Ocarina of Time)
The melody is okay in my opinion, but it's no where near what it could have been mainly due to a time crunch.
There is no "Boss Intro" segment where the brass all plays notes to put you on edge right as the boss starts, compared to both the original and my boss theme.
After a long 2 months of Zelda burnout, I finally was able to get back into creating Zelda music again.
Some people both in the real world and online recommended me to try to come up with a theme for the Bongo Bongo boss from the Shadow Temple, so I tried. If you mess around with the Djembe instrument enough, you can make it sound like the beat the boss does, so I decided to do that as the main beat in the background.
I slightly altered the drumline the boss does in the actual fight to go along with his voice, which I also managed to utilize here for a segment.
Getting VERY low with the chants from the game added an eerie aspect that I liked, so I went along with it and was fine with it at the end.
