"Something Went Wrong" Error in Teams File Upload – Complete Fix Explained
In this video, I’ll walk you through a real-world Microsoft Teams issue where a user was unable to upload files and kept getting the "Something went wrong" error. Even small files in KB size were failing to upload.
After some investigation, I discovered the root cause: the system was connected via a 4-port unmanaged switch, which limited the LAN speed to 100 Mbps. Once I bypassed the switch and directly connected the system to the I/O (wall) port, the speed increased to 1 Gbps, and the upload issue was resolved. The user was then able to upload even a 240 MB file successfully.
