HOW TO WIRE EXTENSION BOARD
This video is intended to guide viewers (with or without previous Electrical knowledge), to have a clear understanding of how to wire extension boards for use at homes, offices, work places etc.
This type of extension board is safer and more durable for general use. in the video, the specific materials used are clearly stated so that even people without any Electrical background can follow and construct their own extension board that is safe and durable for general use.
the cable used for the extention contains three 2.5mm cables, colored Brown, Blue and Yellow/Green.
When connecting the cables to the socket,
the Brown cable must connect to the terminal marked L on the socket,
Blue cable to the terminal marked N and
Yellow/Green cable to the terminal marked E or earth symbol.
When connecting the wires, ensure that the terminals are well tightened, to prevent high resistance at the terminals which can cause the terminal to burn from excess heat.
When wiring more than one Double socket, there are various ways of securing the patress boxes together. eg. screws, bolt and knot, glue, etc.
